Mr. Marcadis was born in Tampa, Florida and is a third-generation resident of Tampa, Florida. He had an early desire to work in the legal profession as both his Grandfather and Father were Florida Bail Bondsman. He is a debt collection lawyer; his practice focuses solely on debt collection and debt recovery. Mr. Marcadis is pleased to see Marcadis Singer, PA develop its new division FLBusinessLitigation, and will continue in the new division in his capacity of Founding Partner and Shareholder.
Mr. Marcadis received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Accounting from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in 1978. In 1981 Mr. Marcadis received his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Florida Law School, Gainesville, Florida. In 1982 Mr. Marcadis received his Master of Laws in Taxation from The George Washington School of Law in Washington D.C.
Upon graduating law school, Mr. Marcadis worked for an international accounting firm in the Tax department. Two years later, Mr. Marcadis decided to open his own law practice in 1984. After a few years, he began to concentrate in the areas of collection law, both commercial and consumer/retail collections and insurance subrogation law. Until 2011 Mr. Marcadis’ firm was named Marcadis & Associates PA. At that time, Gil Singer Esq. joined the practice and Marcadis Singer PA was established. Since the beginning, the firm has concentrated in the area of commercial and consumer debt collection.
Mr. Marcadis is a member of The Florida Bar. He is also a member of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA), an association comprised of attorneys who concentrate their practice in consumer and retail collection law.
Mr. Marcadis was selected in 2011 to address the Florida County Court Judge’s Conference in Palm Beach on the issues surrounding collection attorneys, debt buyers, and the court system. Mr. Marcadis is also a speaker on Florida Debt Collections and Garnishment Law.
Ralph Marcadis has been married for over 35 years and has three grown children. His oldest son, Stuart, joined Marcadis Singer PA in 2016.
